Our Story

Yesterday was an overall great day! Today Adam is coming to eat lunch with me and we are going to Olive Garden ... YUMMMM! He doesn't really like Italian food but I LOVE it. So since I get to choose that's where we are going. Can't wait!

Tomorrow my brother-in-law's blues band is playing at a local cajun restaurant for Mardi Gras. I didn't realize it was already time for Mardi Gras! Anyways it's gonna be a blast! Adam is their sound guy and he loves being a part of the band!

A friend of ours had her baby yesterday ON MY BIRTHDAY! She's so adorable! I wish they didn't live all the way in Arkansas so I could go see them! Another friend of ours recently had her baby (another girl) at the end of January. We are supposed to go to see them tomorrow but I'm not sure if we will be able to. Hopefully we can during the day.

Mine is Dawn & his is Joseph

How long have you been together?
Total for a little over 10 yrs

How long did you know each other before you started dating?
2 months. We talked on the phone with each other for about 2 months before we met face to face.

Who asked who out?
Well I asked him to the homecoming football game and that’s where we met face to face. He called me the next day and asked if I would go to the skating rink with him and that’s where he asked me to be his girlfriend. (We were like 15!)

How old were each of you when you met?
He was 14 & I was 15

How old are each of you now?
He is 24 & I just turned 26

How long did you date before becoming engaged?
6 years. 3 ½ of those yrs we lived together.

How tall are each of you?
He is 6ft even & I’m 5ft 5 ½ inches (yes the ½ counts)

Whose siblings do you see the most?
I guess his since we live next door to them.

Do you have any children together?
Not yet

What about pets?
6: 2 Dogs, 1 Cat, 2 Birds, & 1 Pig

Did you go to the same school?
No, he was homeschooled.

Are you from the same hometown?
Sorta. He lived South of the major town here & I lived North of it.

Who is the smartest?
He has a lot more common sense than I do and he is smarter about everyday stuff.
I’m more mathematical & logic smart.
We balance each other.

Who is the most sensitive?
Me

Where do you eat out most as a couple?
Posados (Mexican food – obviously), Chilis, or Applebees

Where is the furthest you two have traveled together as a couple?
Destin, FL

Who does the cooking?
I do

Who is more social?
We are about the same

Who is the neat-freak?
Him!

Who hogs the bed?
He says I do BUT I know he does!

Who wakes up earlier?
He does! He gets up for work at 3:50 and I get about 5:00

Who has the bigger family?
Probably me. His family is about the same I guess but spread from California to TX & mine is mostly all in the same town.

How do you spend the holidays?
With his parents & mine. Then we have time for ourselves.

Who is more jealous?
Neither one really. We used to get jealous but after 10 yrs we have learned that to have a good relationship we must trust each other completely.

Do you have little pet names for each other?
Babe, baby, sweet heart, sweety… etc.
For some reason he called me Butt Fluff once and it stuck so sometimes he calls me that. In retaliation I called him Pocket Lint and that stuck too… HAHA

How long did it take to get serious?
Well we became really good friends over the phone. Once we met face to face it was pretty much love at first sight.

Who eats more?
He does!

Who sings better?
I think he does

Who’s older?
I am by 1 ½ yrs.

Who does the dishes?
I do. He NEVER puts dishes in the dishwasher. On rare occasions he will put the clean ones up but it doesn’t happen to often.

Who snores?
He does a little because he has a deviated septum. I do if I have a cold.

Who’s better with the computer?
Me, but only because I’m on it 5 days a week for 8 hrs each day.

Who drives?
If we are together he does. He can’t stand riding.

Who kissed who first?
Hmmm I think it was pretty much a mutual thing. Our first kiss was in my barn at my old house. I used to have a horse and we fed her sweet feed out of this huge barrel. I would have to put almost half my body in it to reach the food and he always told me he loved the smell of my hair because of it. I remember him telling me that and then we kissed. This was actually our first kiss for both of us. Neither one of us have ever been with anyone else.

Who eats more sweets?
Him. He eats candy during the day at work from the vending machine. I'm not big on candy but give me cake or cheesecake any day!
