Our Wedding (part 2)

Today is part 2 of weddings over at Kelly's Korner. Today is about the wedding itself and the wedding party. (Next week is about the reception).

A quick over view before I get on with the pics....

We had our wedding at a friend of my aunt's house (who I had never met before this). The were the nicest people! The let us take over 1/2 of their house for pretty much a week to do bridal portraits, rehearsal, and the whole day of the actual wedding.

Where the house was there was NO parking for guests. So we had all of our guests park at the hotel where the reception was being held and surprised them with a white stretch hummer to take them to the wedding. All the girls were already there so it was cool to see the guests arriving and then Adam and his guys coming out of the hummer. I'll never forget peeking out the window and seeing him in his tux for the first time... He was so hot!

Anywho, we had some various love songs and a lot of Michael Buble (Hallmark Valentine CD) playing while everyone was arriving. I walked down to a traditional wedding march with my grandpa. I was praying I wouldn't fall because it was a long way down the sidewalk & stairs!

We didn't have any songs during the ceremony but after the judge pronounced us man and wife we played Aerosmith's I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing as we all walked out. (Yes we had a judge not a preacher because he is my cousin and we do not have a church home at this time - or at that time).

About our flowers: My bouquet & the girls bouquet's were all silk roses in various pinks & white that were made by the florist at Brookshires. Who knew brookshires has such an awesome florist!?! My mom & I made the guys flowers ourselves in a hotel room two nights before :) We also made the mothers/grandmothers coursages.

Now on to the pictures:

From left to right (Back) Emily - My Maid of Honor/sister-in-law/best friend in the entire world, Me, Misty - Sister-in-law, Danica - Cousin.

Front: Breanna - My sister/Junior Bridesmaid & Haylie - Neice/Flower Girl

The whole wedding party

After the ceremony the guy that owned the house let us drive his car to the reception!

Our crazy wedding party in front of the hummer!

After the reception we went cruising the town in the hummer with our entire wedding party and hit up the wally world because my sister-in-law forgot to pick up toilet paper!!! It was SOOO much fun!

New Do & Biggest Loser Club

Picture of my new "do". I had about 2 or 3 inches taken off to go back to shoulder length. It's so much easier this length because it doesn't flip out in the back and I can actually straighten it!

~*~

As I mentioned on twitter yesterday that I had quit weight watchers and had re-joined the Biggest Loser Club. The point system is not for me. I would have to log on to the page to figure out how many points something was before I ate it and then sometimes would just what the heck it's probably not much and then find out later it was like 15 points or something. Anyways, I rejoined the Biggest Loser Club because I have been successful with it before so I KNOW that it works for me as long as I actually do the WORK.

If anybody is on this plan please let me know so that we can work together! As of this morning I've only lost a total of 2.4lbs in like a month. Yes I know I haven't been working out or drinking enough water but I have tried to stick with some semblance of a plan and not pig out on donuts, cookies, or something equally as bad.

The Biggest Loser plan gives you your totals for the day for calories, fat, carbs, sodium, protein, fiber, etc. So you know EXACTLY what the heck you can do. All that is very simple to figure out for me.

~*~

Oh yea & here's my weather forcast for the day! Depressing HUH?

For all my bloggy friends that watch So You Think You Can Dance .... did you bawl your eyes out last week when Melissa & Ade danced about Breast Cancer. I certainly did. I was bawling! My grandmother died of colon cancer that had spread all over her body and this really touched me. Both my mom, me, & my sister could be at risk for this.

Here is the video of the dance:

Hump Day Rambling

As you can see at the top over there ----> that I now have twitter! I'm so excited :)
Twitter didn't work with my previous phone so I never used my account UNTIL NOW!

~*~

Here around the office our part time person is quitting to start college so we are looking for a part time person to clean and file. We have a girl coming in at 1:30 to interview. She's worked for the company before and wants to be an agent when she graduates college. Hopefully that will work out and she can start next week.

~*~

After work today I'm getting my hair cut. I never go in and say let's do the same as last time. I always have to change it up because I crave variety. I don't like the same old thing over and over. I think I'm gonna go back to the way I had it last year. Right at my shoulders. Adam thought it was WAY too short but I'm the one living with it not him. When my hair is as long as it is now (inch or so past my shoulders) it does nothing but flip out in the back. When it's shorter it actually stays straight.

Still not 100% sure what I'm gonna do but I guess you will all find out tomorrow!

Don't foget to follow me on twitter if you have an account!

Weekend Recap

This past weekend was really really great! We just had an overall fun weekend.

Friday night we went to town to get Adam's hair cut & have some dinner.

Saturday (early) morning we went in to town so that Adam could look at a new weed eater he has been wanting. He bought one a month or so ago but he ended up returning it. He found another but the place is only open from 8am to 12pm on Saturdays. Anyways we got there and he got exactly what he wanted. So far I think he loves it.

Afterwards I decided to go to AT&T to try again to get a new phone. I've had mine since April 07 and I'm on the 3rd one. Well they wouldn't let me do an early upgrade to get a different phone unless I went through warrenty one more time! UGH! I talked Adam in to letting me use his upgrade since he hasn't been able to find anything he wants (he's so picky) and I got a new phone. I'm SOOOOOO excited. It's the new Nokia Smart Phone and has INTERNET ACCESS. I cannot explain how excited this makes me! I've ALWAYS wanted a phone that allows me to get on the net and do things. It's faster than my home internet which is dial-up. I LOVE IT! Last night we had bad storms come through and it was awesome to grap my phone and pull up the weather radar because our satelite goes out immediately!

On with my weekend ..... Saturday night we went bowling with one of Adam's friends from work. I actually won 2 out of 4 games which is pretty awesome. Adam averages 180s and I'm usually in the low 100s. Well it's been FOREVER since we've bowled that his scores were pretty low and mine were actually pretty good. I miss bowling... we definately need to start going again. I love my bowling ball. It's black with pink glitter swirls. Very beautiful.

Sunday I woke up with a monster headache. I had the headache since Wednesday evening but for some reason Sunday morning it was SO bad. I layed around until finally it got so bad I took one of Adam's migraine meds. It helped for about an hour or so. I decided to go take a warm bath but that felt like needles hitting my skin for some reason ... maybe the meds. Around 4ish I layed down on the couch and put a pillow over my head because the birds were squaking. I never can sleep on the couch soundly. I usually doze off but still know what's going on around me. Not today. I woke up at 6pm trying to figure out where I was and why I was tangled in the blankets. I slept SO good. I still had the headache but didn't feel so bad.

Sunday was a good day even though I felt like crap. It actually felt kinda good to be lazy for a whole day ... lol.

OH and while typing this I finally got my twitter account to work. I LOVE MY NEW PHONE!!!! Feel free to add me. I have no idea how all of it works because my previous piece of crap phone wasn't twitter compatible.

HAPPY MONDAY!!

My Wedding Dress

Over at Kelly's Korner today is "Show Us Your Life - Wedding Dresses".

I LOVED (well still do) my dress. I tried on a hundred or so before I found "THE ONE". It's no secret that I'm a not so skinny person but let me tell you I have never been more ashamed of my size as I was when I was trying on dresses. I went to several places where they were SO snobby to me. One place even had all their dresses size 14 and up in a back part of there store with 1 crappy dressing room that barely had a door. They wouldn't even help me with trying on the dresses they just pointed the way. I would have given them a serious piece of mind and promptly left if I wasn't desperate for a dress by then. Needless to say I thankfully didn't find anything and continued on my search.

The best place I found was David's Bridal. They had a few not so nice workers but the lady I got was amazing! She kept brining me dress after dress and didn't rush me and really made things so AWESOME.

When I put the dress on that I have I seriously got teary. I think my sis-in-law did too. It was perfect.

These are pics from when I first tried it on... of course it wasn't fitted at the top yet.

The pictures cannot do this dress justice because all the beading was so sparkly!
The bottom of the train (my favorite part!)

My favorite Bridal shot! (Very sunny that day)
I love this picture because I look exactly like my mom when she was my age. I'll have to find her wedding picture and post it.. It's gorgeous!

Our actual wedding now: Notice I was blonder & had a differnt bouquet!... HAHA.
Now once I'm skinny and gorgeous (one day) I want to renew our vows on a beach in a very romantic ceramony. Maybe for our 10yr anniversary.
THIS is my dream dress for that occasion. (Except the strap.... not to crazy about it but the rest of it is my ultimate dream dress)

Isn't it gorgeous!!!???

Chicken Pot Pie

Hey everyone. I'm doing another Blog Hop today! Today's theme is recipes. This is my very own recipe I created and I'm pretty proud of it after many trial and errors. (Plus I forgot about this and I know this one by heart!) Just remembered that this is also what he had for dinner last night! HAHA!

~*~

Chicken Pot Pie

Ingredients:
Package Pillsbury Pie Crusts (2 per box) - off brand isn't so great (in my opinion)
3 chicken breasts
2 cans Cream of Chicken Soup
1 can Whole Kernal Corn (drained)
1 can Cut Green Beans (drained)
3 medium New Potatos
Pinch of Nutmeg
Salt & Pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Cube the chicken and cook in a little bit of Olive Oil in a skillet until cooked through. You can leave like this but my hubby prefers to chop them up into smaller pieces.

While cooking the chicken, cube the potatos and boil then until they are ALMOST done enough to be boiled potatos. If they are done they will be overcooked after baking.

Pour both cans of Cream of Chicken Soup into a medium mixing bowl. Add chicken, salt, pepper, & nutmeg and stir. Add corn, green beans, & potatos and stir just until mixed up so that potatos don't get squished.

Put one of the Pie crusts in a pie plate, poke holes in bottom & sides, and put in the oven. I usually change my oven to broil at this time so that it dries out the bottom crust and speeds the cooking time up. (I use a pampered chef stone pie plate and it would take FOREVER to cook that bottom crust if I didn't do it this way). Once the crust is starting to look dried remove from the oven. Pour in filling and spread around. Cover with other pie crust and smush down on the bottom crust sides to seal. (Pan will be hot!). Cut four slits in the top to make an X.

Bake covered for about 20 minutes then uncover until the top is browned. (I usually flip over again to the broiler if it's taking too long... I'm not very patient).

Enjoy!

Weekend Recap

Hope everyone had a greet weekend!

Nothing really exciting happened around our place. Adam had to work a few hours on Saturday so I did some housework and stuff while he was gone. It felt like I didn't sleep at all Friday night so I wasn't feeling too good. After I got all my major stuff done I crawled back into bed and alternated between watching a movie and reading a book.

When he got home we went to town to get dinner and get groceries. Saturday night we watched Iron Man. It was a really good movie but a little dumb in a few parts. I know it was supposed to be comic book like (as my husband keeps telling me) but it just irks me when they do stupid stuff... like there are 10 CIA agents or something and the civilian girl in 4inch heels goes into get the bad guys first....Maybe I'm just weird lol.

We also watched Enchanted. You know, the movie with Patrick Dempsey & Amy Adams. She's a cartoon who crosses over into the real world. Well I didn't get to see it all but it was SO cute! I love Pip, the little chipmunk.

Sunday Adam, his friend, my sister-in-law, and I went to a gun show. The gun show itself was boring but it was fun to hang out with friends and go out to eat.

That's pretty much it for us this weekend. I do feel more rested today though after having slept SOOOO good saturday & sunday night!

Ramblings of a Busy Lady + WW Friday

It's been a CRAZY CRAZY day!!

It started off at 5:30. As soon as I got out of the shower my electricity went off because of a storm. Usually our power comes right back EXCEPT this time. I got dressed and did my make-up by flashlight hoping that any minute the power would come on so I could dry my hair. No such luck. At 6:30 I left the house with all my hair fixing equipment and came to work. That is one advantage to working 45 minutes from home. If the power is out at home it's usually OK at the office.

So by the time I got here of course my hair had air dryed. Well I rewet it so that I could blow dry it. How crazy is that? My husband was like "Your hair is dry so you wet it so that you could dry it?!" Yep that's what I did. Because air dryed hair is very staticy, flat, and doesn't look good on me. So after some mousse, straightening, and hairspray I look like my normal self again.

At 8:30 this morning we had a lady come in for a job interview. That's one reason why I wanted to look my best. I mean what impression would i give her looking the way I did? She would have probably ran the other direction. It went pretty good so we'll see what happens with anybody else that interviews.

We had a conference call from 10am to 11am about an agent who had sold 100 life policies since January of this year. He was basically telling us how he did it and how we could to. Well one key to his success is that he has 5 office staff and 3 of those are licensed Life reps. Well it's just little ol me here so hopefully once she hires at least one more person we can be more successful.

Other than that the day has just been normal busy Friday, last minute payment, type of stuff going on. Plus today is pay day for my hubby so that means bill paying day for me. I try to get all the bills paid the same day that he gets paid so that I know EXACTLY how much we have for the next week. His getting paid each week is actually pretty nice. I get paid every other week and seems like I run out of money way before pay day. Yes we have seperate accounts & I wouldn't have it any other way! I keep exact records of my account because that's where I pay bills from but on his I can't keep up with his spending. When his check gets deposited I just transfer X amount of dollars to mine for bills for the week, a little to savings, and then I tell him you have ____ to spend on gas, chiropractor, and vending machines. He's usually pretty good with budgeting his $ and it really makes it easier for him because he doesn't have to call me up each time he wants to buy something.

Anyways I'm totally rambling and forgot that today was WW Friday!

DRUMROLL PLEASE!!!!.........................

I lost .8 lbs this week. I can't believe it! I seriously had expected to gain back all that I had lost but I actually lost more this week than I did last week. Maybe pancakes for dinner and pizza for breakfast is the way to go! (Or maybe not)

Well that's all I'm gonna ramble on about today (This whole post took me like 4 minutes to type - Maybe I've had too much caffeine today)

Have a great weekend!!!!!!

Sharing Some Pictures

Sorry I've been "absent" for a couple of days. I've been pretty stressed out this week, as I'm sure the scale will reflect tomorrow. I just haven't felt like blogging about happy stuff when I'm so down. So I just chose to take a couple day break.

Here are some pics from this weekend and the latest knitting project. :-D

This is my favorite picture I took of Adam's truck. That would be his arm over there ... lol

The family (mother-in-law, father-in-law, sister-in-law, nephew, (2 people we don't know), mom, and a friend)

Just finished this one this morning. It's called Crazy Daisy. It is by far the easiest one I've done yet. Crazy huh? It looks very hard!
Well that's about all I have for today. I'll be back tomorrow to share what I've gained tomorrow (as I'm sure there won't be a loss).

Weekend Recap

Overall we had a pretty good weekend. A few personal issues that left me in a "funk" for the day but as of now I'm feeling a lot better and in a much better mood.

Adam had to work Saturday so I spent most of the day alternating between cleaning and watching tv. I did get some grocery shopping done in the AM. He got home, showered, and had to clean up his truck some. I guess when I drove it home friday some grime got on the wheels and he had to reclean them. We drove to Lindale (nearest car wash - 15 minutes away) to rewash the dust off of his truck. We ended up being about 30 minutes late to the car show but people came with their cars pretty much all evening so it wasn't a big deal.

We had a lot of fun. My BIL's band played so all of our family & friends where there. I got to spend a bunch of time with my mom which was GREAT! She let me play with her new smart phone and now I want one SO bad. I can't even imaging a phone with internet! I did get a few pictures that I'll post tomorrow.

Anyways afterwards we went into Tyler with Adam's friend from work. We took his truck (which we were already in of course) and cruised broadway. We never take his truck to town because it uses SO much gas. We had some dinner at Applebees (and some Applebee-tinis for me of course ... YUM YUM YUM) then went home.

On sunday Adam did some stuff outside early in the AM before it hit 100 degrees at like 10am. Once it got too hot for him to work he came in and we watched Transformers (part 1) since we were going to see part 2 later that evening. We LOVED both of them! I am really glad we saw part 1 though before 2. It basically just picks right up and is all action for 147 minutes. I liked that they didn't turn into a sappy love story but kept it about the action and story line. Of course there was Megan Fox for the guys viewing pleasure... haha. She is really not that pretty to me and she annoys me with her pouty lips a squinty eyes. I guess I just don't get they hype.

WW Friday + Some Other Stuff

Today is weigh in day! I didn't do that great but did lose .6 lbs this week. Nothing really to brag about but at least it's a loss right? My total loss is now 1.2lbs. (Consistent if nothing else right?). I haven't been to strict on myself the past 2 weeks but have tried making better choices (like no frosting on my one lonely cupcake & drinking a zillion ounces of water). Next week I plan on ramping up the restrictions and actually possibly doing an excersize or two... hopefully.

~*~

So today I've brought Adam's truck to work with me to have new tires put on & have it detailed. He works pretty close to our house so is nowhere near town and it's more convenient for me to just bring it in and have the guys next door come get it and do their work. As of now his new tires have already been put on and another guy (my boss' nephew) has come and picked it up to detail it for me. I can't wait to see it all sprakly and can't wait until the car show tomorrow. I ran out and took a quick picture a few minutes ago... Here is his baby. (Seriously if he had to choose between me or his truck I'm afraid I might lose)

~*~

Here is a knitting update. I've been done with this first one for a while but considering it was for my mom and she didn't know about it I didn't want to post a pic until after I had given it to her. (Sorry about the red background. Didn't realize how bad it clashes until now).

This is the next one that I'm currently working on. It's called Crazy Daisy. I'm pretty sure this one is actually for me but who knows who I might give it to. LOL. I usually make more stuff for other people than I do myself.

~*~

And lastly I've saved the best for last. I have been wanting a mini filing cabinet FOREVER but just couldn't give up $50 for it without guilt. Well yesterday my boss gave me $100 as a little thank you bonus for my 8yr aniversary (Yes I do have the best job & boss in the world). So I made a direct path to Wally-World after work where I had seen the exact BLACK cabinet I wanted. It has a mini drawer up top then two hanging file drawers. Well I skipped into Wally-World and went directly to the school supplies (This is seriously my favorite time of year. Am I the only crazy pen & office supply person out ther?).

Anyways I see exactly what I want and I'm looking around for somebody to help me load this baby up when I see "IT". It was like God said "Hey Jessica this is for you!" It was the exact same filing cabinet in PINK!!!!! I think I screached said something like "OH MY GOSH ARE YOU SERIOUS?!" out loud in the middle of the aisle. The lady coming down the aisle quickly went the other way. I was on a pink cloud 9 let me tell ya. I loaded her up and skipped through the store getting what I needed for dinner and flew home. I couldn't wait to unload it. (Of course Adam had no warning of this). I got home and told him there was something in the trunk to unload. He pops the trunk and gives me the look ... The "Did you seriously buy a pink filing cabinet look" You know the one. He could tell I was ecstatic though so he unboxed it for me immediately so that I could drool over it. So here are some pictures!

Isn't this the most adorably, most awesome, frickin thing you've ever seen in your entire life?!? Well it is for me!

Oh and here is my Mary Kay Inventory. I finally have everything pretty much where I want it in my new office. Still more to do over on the other side where all my papers are. (Can you tell that I love pink?)

Temptation

I'm very proud of myself today. Every time I start any type of diet plan Adam decides he needs something totally fattening with a bazillion calories. This time isn't any different except that in the past I usually indulge myself and have whatever it is that I've made. He's been asking me for a week to make him yellow cup cakes with chocolate frosting. Last night I had time so I did.

How many of these did I have????

= 0

So I made myself a compromise because I know that if I deny myself that I would be craving one after smelling them.
This was my alternative....

= Only 1

I frosted the rest and put them in a container and haven't snuck even 1. I'm a very proud, on my way to being skinny, woman today!
~*~
Today my boss is taking us out to eat because she said it's been so crazy and we need a reward. Also this month marks 8 yrs that I've been here. We celebrate everything around here. I'm pretty sure we are having mexican food today and I'm pretty sure I'll be having nachos but that's ok. I've been pretty good this week and have stuck to making good decisions each day.

There's a Giveway Going On!

Over at Misadventures of a Newlywed she is having an awesome giveaway from The Monogram Divas. I've drooled over their stuff in longing for months since I first heard about them on Mrs. Newlywed's blog. I decided to go ahead and enter her drawing. Check it out!

I found out last night that Adam was asked to enter his truck into a car show this weekend. It's not like a judged car show but some friends of ours opened up a restaurant a couple of weeks ago and they will be having old cars, new cars, muscle cars, and really cool cars & trucks there on Saturday. I'm having it detailed for him on Friday. I'm just PRAYING that he won't have to work Saturday. He told me this morning that he probably will have to but things change at the last minute at his job. I'm so excited for him to be in it. He has always wanted to but has never felt that what he has is good enough (to his expectations). Since their friends I don't think he feels as nervous about it. I'll try to find (or take) a good pic of his truck. I LOVE it. It is so him and he will own it forever.

Have a totally awesome day!

(ps. Don't you just love having spellcheck tell you that there are no errors. It's like getting a 100 on your spelling test for the day!)

Funny Picture and more

Last night Adam & I had Bodacious BBQ for dinner... YUM! Not sure if that's just a local E. Tx chain or if they are all over. They have the BEST BBQ EVER! I can't wait for lunch Yum Yum Yum!

I had planned on getting things done around the house since I didn't have to cook dinner but that didn't happen. Instead I sat on the couch and watched last weeks So You Think You Can Dance. I'm SO sad that Vitolio went home. The bottom 3 couples was very tough, especially with the girls so I understand why the sent Karla home. But WHY is Kupono still there. I'm mean seriously... he's not that good. He's good when he has certain dances but when he does his own solos he sucks. I think he should have gone home LAST WEEK but that's just my opinion. Maybe I'm wrong but I really haven't liked him from the beginning. If I was picking the top 20 he wouldn't have even been thought of with all the other talent that I saw and like better. But I guess that's why I'm not a judge making the big bucks and they are.

My favs are Brandon, Phillip, Jeanine, Caitlin, and Kayla. Brandon has been a fav since last season when he tried out so I guess I'm probably rooting for him the most!

~*~

I saw on Kellys Korner that she is participating in a "Blog Hop" so I thought I would join along. This week's theme is your favorite picture so here's my favorite two that are hilarious!

This was Christmas of 2007 and are pics of Adam & his sister. I can't remember what he did but she was chasing him around with a tree branch trying to wack him with it. I was laughing so hard, I can't believe I actually got these pictures! HAHA!
