This week is a short work week for me!!! Woo Hoo!! I'm working today & tomorrow and then I'm off until next Monday for the Thanksgiving holiday. Adam is off ALL week. He's delivery two pies for me today and then picking up any more orders. As of now I've sold 9 pies at his work. I always make our Chiropractor 2 coconut pies and then I'll take a chocolate and a coconut to Adam's parents on Thursday.
This weekend I realized that I wouldn't have enough pie crusts. I use the Pillsbury Deep Dish crusts in the freezer because I haven't perfected my own yet (maybe next year?). Wal-mart was OUT so we went to Brookshires. Well they checkout lady was a little ticked at me because I bought every single one they had. As in I bought 13 two crust packages LOL! Ya it's a little over kill but I didn't want to take the chance of running out! You just can't use an off brand crust!
Other than pie making issues we had a really great weekend. We saw Harry Potter Deathly Hallows pt 1 Saturday. I thought it was absolutely excellent but Adam was disappointed. I think the difference is that I've read the books and know what's going on where he was left confused. This movie is all the lead up to the end of the book where all the action happens. Adam said that the magic of it was lacking but I think it's because it's more of an adult type movie. It's a long way from the first Harry Potter movie but it has grown as the "kids" have. I bawled my eyes out at a certain part even though I knew it was coming... you'll find out why when you watch it.
This post is turning into a jumble of things but since I'll only have access to high speed internet for two days I'm cramming things in! :)
I found this video Friday. It's a parody of Eclipse. It's absolutely hilarious and awesome! (It won't allow me to post the video but click the link to check it ou!)

Been A While
This past two weeks it's been hard for me to sit down and write a post. Not that I've been too busy but just not sure what to write. There is a lot I want to write but can't because I'm always afraid of putting TOO MUCH out there. So I decided to start a private blog. I'm not opening it to anyone but it's helped me sort through my thoughts and actually have a few AH HA moments that have changed the way I think. Maybe eventually I'll get around to writing about things but I need to sort it all out right now.
Just to be clear nothing is going on in my marriage or with any one person. Just life in general :).
So what IS going on with us right now?
Well a few wives at Adam's work have been selling food to raise money for Christmas for their families. One lady made mexican food and another made BBQ sandwiches. I thought man I wish I could do that when I realized I CAN! So starting today I'm selling pies for Thanksgiving. I make an AWESOME Chocolate Pie and Coconut Cream Pie. The recipe was my Nana's recipe so it's one that I grew up loving and have perfected myself. My originally delivery date was for Monday but I may change it to Wednesday depending on what they want. Two guys have requested pies for tomorrow so they can try them and see how many they want to order. Pretty cool!
Saturday we are going to see the new Harry Potter movie. Can't wait! I don't want it to be over but I can't wait to see how the final book is on screen. This will be the first of the series that I've read the book before seeing the movie since I just read the series for the first time this year.
Adam is off all next week and I'm off starting Wed so it will be so great to get to spend some time together. He has been working 10 or 12 hours each day and we really miss each other.
Have a great weekend!

A Day To Recharge
I took off work yesterday and it was really just what I needed right now. With Thursday being our slowest day I thought it would be a good day to just leave it with my boss and take the day off.
I woke up at 5:01 but made myself sleep at least until 6:30. I got up and watched a movie that I rented "The Girl Who Played With Fire" and a few things I had on the DVR while eating some muffins. Then I had some lunch and cooked my chicken & potatos I needed for dinner. I did finally get some stuff done around the house though. I cleaned out my laundry room, did some laundry, and cleaned off the bar.
Adam got home and I put my pot pie in the oven then went and helped him cut down a tree that he's been wanting to get down for a while. Why he put me in charge of tree falling direction I don't know but I found myself on the tractor with a rope attached to the tree. My job was to floor it when the tree started to fall so that it fell in a certain direction. Well that was all fine and dandy until I saw the cue, floored it, and barely moved. I forgot to idle the tractor up so that I would go fast. Luckily nobody was hurt and no houses were damaged but a beautiful evergreen tree was hit and lost some branches. I don't think he would have given me this job if there would have been a risk of me doing major property damage or injury but I at least know what to do next time.
Today I'm back to work and it feels like Monday but it's FRIDAY so that is pretty awesome. The office wasn't too crazy yesterday so I only have a few things to get caught up on this morning. I may have to take time off more often! Don't tell my boss though ... she may freak out!

Weekend Fun
We had a fun Halloween weekend even though we didn't really dress up or go all out like we usually do. Saturday Adam helped the band get prepped for the party that night and then we were pretty lazy for the rest of the day. The party turned out really great. There were four bonfires and everyone pretty much dressed up. The house the party was at was decorated from top to bottom. The husband's birthday is also Halloween so they really get with it as far as the decor and planning!
Sunday we had some breakfast at Cracker Barrell and then made a quick trip to Canton (or local traders village type place). We walked around for a little bit and I got some yummy smelling mini soy candles (Cinnamon Blast, Lemon Drop, Cucumber Melon, & Apple Spice). We came back to town and did our grocery shopping and then headed home.
Last night we watched Date Movie (Tina Fey & Steve Carell). It was SO funny! I love both of them as actors and together they are hilarious!
Today is a rainy grey day but it's finally cooled off and I think it's here to stay this time. Yesterday we had places in the 90s and today it's in the 50s. I'm hoping the weather is nice this weekend so we can have our first bonfire at our house and have some friends over! I love this time of the year!
