Let’s Get Fit

I have been struggling with diets and trying to lose weight pretty much my whole life.  I’ve tried several of the popular diets and had good success with each one.  However I lose motivation because I always feel like I’m doing it all on my own.  In the end it is only ME that can make the necessary changes in my life to be healthier but it’s very hard to do this without support.

Last year I joined Weight Watchers and lost about 20lbs.  I loved going to the meetings and it really helped being accountable to a group.  I couldn’t afford to keep it up and thought I could do it on my own.  That lasted about 2 months.  A lot has gone on in my personal life this year and I slipped back in to my old routine.

Without realizing it I’ve gained back everything that I lost last year.  I don’t have a scale at home so when I went to the Dr a few weeks ago I almost had a stroke when I got on the scale.

THIS MUST CHANGE. FOR GOOD.  NO MORE YO-YOING!

For me it’s so easy to let life take over and to take care of everyone else around me before taking care of myself.  I REALLY need that support and motivation from a group.

So today I am launching a my own group called Let’s Get Fit
LGF Button 4
This is a facebook group dedicated to sharing ideas and motivating each other to get fit and lose weight.  It doesn’t matter if you have 100lbs to lose or just 10lbs, we can ALL benefit by helping each other.

Each of us have our own reason for losing weight.  It could be to fit in to a dress, before you are 30 (Just 4 months to go), or because you just want to feel better about yourself. By encouraging other people each of us will reap the rewards of success.

I want to be YOUR cheerleader for each small accomplishment and each HUGE milestone!! Let’s Get Fit TOGETHER!!

Hey! This is such a great idea. I can totally relate to this. Can't most people??? I had health problems which prevented me from working out, was stressed with school, busy, and then was put on prescriptions that changed the way my body metabolized and all the sudden my size 4 went to a size 8/10 in the year preceding my wedding! I was unable to lose for the wedding, but I'm determined to lost the 30 or so pounds not for image issues, but because I want to feel and be as healthy as I can!

My little testimony I guess. My point: we all could probably use a community to give us that extra boost!

New follower =) xoxo
