2012 Review Extravaganza – Week 3

July:

~ The first of week of July both Adam and I were on vacation and had a mostly great time.  Adam had some minor injuries during our 4th of July celebrations when a mortar shell blew up and caused burns to his head and ear. We spent a day in Shreveport at the Boardwalk and went to Joe’s Crab Shack.  Then we spent another day in Dallas and went to the Dallas World Aquarium, I finally got to go to Ikea, the Frisco Mall, and The Cheesecake Factory!

~ At the end of July I decided to get to cleaning out my closet.  With your help I eliminated some Stripes & Patterns from my wardrobe that are no longer in style.

August:

~ The beginning of August was an exciting time for me because I launched my Thirty-One business and had my first Giveaway! I also learned that this is the 21st Century and you should always use raffle copter … not the old way. :)

~ I joined Instagram and posted my first artsy photo of my road.

~ I got my first tan lines of the summer enjoying my in-laws new pool next door! Check out this chick!

~ We tried out an awesome new restaurant in town called Fuzzy’s where I found out that I can get really drunk and have a good meal for less than $20!

~ We had a fun weekend for Adam’s birthday including a friend that drove down from Arkansas to celebrate with us.

~ This same weekend also included me falling in the bathroom of the movie theater and injuring my knee. I completely forgot to follow up on this too.  The theater paid for my medical bills from the chiropractor but now they also have installed rubber mats under the paper towels dispensers to catch the water that drips.  Before I had complained so many times about how slick their tile floors were when they got just a little wet.  I’m so glad that they listened to me this time before someone was seriously hurt.

September:

~ Fall started to slowly creep in.  I tried my first chicken recipe in the crock pot that didn’t work out so well but I made it work.

~ I had my first Thirty-One party/open house that was a complete success with $387 in sales!

~ I wrote my very first guest post for Emily @ Insanity Rules!

~ I participated in a great Fall Swap with Jennifer @ Busy Being Jennifer and got lots of goodies!

~ By the end of the month I declared Fall officially here after going to the fair, seeing pig races, and eating Fried Red Velvet Cake!

~ I launched my Let’s Get Fit Facebook group with the goal to create a community of people that were looking for inspiration and encouragement on their weight loss journey.
