Christmas Recap

I’m a little behind on blog posting so I’m going try to do some catching up this week.  First let’s talk about Christmas! I wasn’t really feeling the Christmas vibe this year and I didn’t take many pictures of our actual festivities. We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas morning with Adam’s family and Christmas day with mine.  We did have a lot of fun and it turned out to be a great Christmas even though I was stressed and not really in the mood.

This morning I went through and took photos of some of the great gifts that I received so that I could share them with you!

This is my pretty tree we had this year. I’m so glad we started getting this type of fir tree.  They are so much prettier than the regular kind.

This year I bought myself a Christmas gift … a May Book!! I absolutely love it and will be using it to keep my blog/online life organized.

My sister-in-law got me some amazing black & white gifts!  First this gorgeous basket!

Inside she had this beautiful black and white blanket, a black scarf, a white scarf, a damask key fob, and a damask candle holder!

My blog friend Janette got me this lovely jewelry holder that I absolutely LOVE.  It’s sitting right next to my sink and Adam is so happy that I’m not leaving my rings and earrings laying in the middle of the counter any longer!

The ladies at my work really HOOKED ME UP! I got a cook book “50 Shades of Chicken”.  If you are a fan of 50 Shades of Grey you absolutely must check out this book.  HILARIOUSLY AWESOME! I also got three books to complete my Beautiful Creatures series, a scarf and a necklace, both monogrammed.

My mom gave me this beautiful soft blanket.  One side is like a cable knit sweater and the other is a soft wool.  So comfy!

Last but not least … from my hunny.  I had sent him the link to an owl necklace I wanted and he got it!! Isn’t it adorable!!??!!

He wasn’t too crazy about the owl necklace so he went out and bought me a snowflake necklace that I’ve been eyeing for a while.  It came in a pretty red box with Godiva Chocolate. YUM.

Christmas morning was so fun with Alexa!! She had this present unwrapping thing down.  Look at her in her pile of presents!

On Christmas Day we went to my mom’s house which is about 45 minutes West of my house. (We measure in minutes not miles here in TX haha). Right before we sat down to eat it started snowing! It was the real stuff too.  Within 30 minutes the ground was covered.  So we ate fast, cleaned up the kitchen and started for home.  Well our 45 minute drive turned in to a 2 hour drive! This picture was taken just a few minutes after we left my moms:

Further on you couldn’t see the road at all.  Just the tracks of the person in front of you.  Scary!

The next day everything was so pretty!! This is my front yard.  I love when the trees are covered in snow.  Picture perfect!

I wasn’t sorry to see Christmas go.  It was fun but I was so ready to move on to 2013!!
Tomorrow I’ll be talking about New Years and resolutions.
