Saturday evening we saw the movie Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters.
Normally I would write up a pretty detailed review telling you how much I love or hate the movies we see over the weekend. Today I’m not going to. Mostly because I know that 99% of people reading my blog wouldn’t want to see this movie. It’s bloody, gory, funny, sometimes gross, and pretty much awesome. But, my definition of awesome is not the same as yours. I’m not your typical girl that only likes chick flicks like the Notebook (which I refuse to see because the book is pretty much the saddest thing on earth). I do love romantic movies and some of my favorite movies of all time are in the romance genre. (Titanic, The Vow, Wild Hearts Can’t Be Broken, and many many more). I tend to stay away from the REALLY sad ones like The Notebook and the movie UP killed me! I do the ugly cry so easily!
I don’t like the “guy movies” because of the gore factor. In fact I hate that part and of course I closed my eyes when the troll in Hansel and Gretel was stomping on peoples heads. I love fight scenes though, I like that the good guy usually wins, and even in a guy movie he always usually gets the girl. I also just like a really good ass kicking kind of movie.
So you won’t always see hearts and flowers over here on Mondays but maybe you will give something new a chance. Just remember to close your eyes if someone pulls out a weapon … or starts stomping on heads. :)

The hubs like these and comic book movies, so I have adapted, but I still love a good chick flick. Cried like a baby at UP, too!
I might just like it as while I love chick flicks I also love action movies. In fact the last few days my husband and I have been watching all of the X-men movies again in order. Such good movies.
